First, Understand: What Is USDT?

USDT (Tether) is a "stablecoin" — its price is pegged to 1 US dollar (1 USDT ≈ $1). It runs on blockchains (commonly the TRC20 / ERC20 / BEP20 chains), with fast transfers, traceability, and zero cross-border friction.

For Chinese users, USDT is the relay that gets credited fastest and settles with the most predictable finality in cross-border payments. 5-Step Top-Up Flow

    Account center → Top up → choose a network (TRC20 recommended, low on-chain fees) → the system generates a dedicated top-up address (different per transaction / long-term dedicated, per platform policy)

    Prepare USDT (you must already hold it)

    RDVCC does not buy, sell or exchange USDT. You need to obtain USDT yourself through channels permitted where you live. The first top-up requires at least 35 USDT.

    Transfer the USDT to your RDVCC Virtual Credit Card top-up address

    In your exchange / wallet, choose "Withdraw / Send", enter the address provided by RDVCC Virtual Credit Card, select the TRC20 network, and enter the USDT amount to top up. You bear the on-chain gas fee (about 0.5-$1+ on TRC20).

    Wait for on-chain confirmation (1-3 minutes)

    TRC20 on-chain confirmation usually takes 1-3 minutes. RDVCC Virtual Credit Card monitors chain events automatically; once confirmed, the 0.5% USDT deposit fee (flat, no tiers) is deducted immediately + the balance is credited.

How Do I Send USDT to the Top-up Address?

Withdraw from the wallet or exchange where you hold USDT — credited on-chain in 1-3 minutes

Q: What is USDT?
USDT is a stablecoin issued by Tether: $1+ ≈ 1 US dollar, with a basically stable price. It is the most mainstream "dollarized" asset in crypto — fast on-chain transfers, low costs, well suited as a relay for cross-border payments.
Q: Why does RDVCC Virtual Credit Card only support USDT top-ups, not Alipay / WeChat?
Two reasons: ① Alipay and WeChat technically cannot top up cards from overseas issuers, nor transfer to overseas accounts; ② a USDT top-up settles on-chain, is credited in 1-3 minutes and is traceable, so problems can be investigated. Troublesome the first time, but nobody wants to go back afterwards.
Q: How do I top up a Visa virtual card?
Two steps: ① first top up your RDVCC Virtual Credit Card account with USDT (this tutorial); ② on the card management page select the target Visa card, click "Top up", and enter the amount (the equivalent limit goes onto the card, with the card top-up fee deducted from the account balance on top: tiered by calendar-month volume, from 2% down to 0.5%).
Q: How long until a virtual card top-up is credited?
Counting from when the USDT is sent: the TRC20 network usually takes 1-3 minutes on-chain. RDVCC Virtual Credit Card automatically detects the chain event and immediately credits your account balance. A card top-up from the balance is instant (no network delay).
Q: Can I top up a virtual card directly with WeChat / Alipay?
No. Alipay and WeChat technically cannot top up cards from overseas issuers. RDVCC accepts USDT top-ups only, and you need to hold that USDT yourself — we do not buy, sell or exchange it.
Q: TRC20, ERC20 or BEP20 — which to choose?
Chinese users should choose TRC20 (lowest gas fees, fast, well supported). Longtime crypto users already on ERC20 wallets can use ERC20. BEP20 is the fastest but not universally supported.
Q: What if I pick the wrong network?
USDT on different chains is not interchangeable (even the address formats differ). Transferring to an unsupported chain locks up the funds. RDVCC Virtual Credit Card prompts you to choose the network before the top-up — please double-check, otherwise recovery is only possible via on-chain tools (costly).
Q: A minimum top-up of 35 USDT is too much — can I deposit less?
No. 35 USDT is RDVCC Virtual Credit Card's minimum top-up line. Reason: fixed costs such as on-chain gas take too large a share of small amounts. We suggest depositing 1-3 months of usage at once to spread out the on-chain gas; the deposit fee is a flat 0.5%, no tiers, the same rate for every amount.
Q: How is the card top-up fee calculated? Are there volume discounts?
It is tiered by your cumulative card top-up volume in each calendar month: under $1,000 the fee is 2%; from $1,000 it drops to 1.5%, from $5,000 to 1%, from $10,000 to 0.8%, and from $50,000 to 0.5%. A new tier takes effect within the same month, and any difference already charged at the higher rate is refunded automatically. The fee is charged on top of the amount you enter. Example (at the 2% tier): enter 100 USD → the card limit increases by the full 100 USD → a 2 USD service fee is charged separately, 102 USD deducted from your balance in total. The card is credited with exactly what you enter — no reverse math needed.
Q: Can the balance be returned?
Yes — by requesting account closure. First close every card one by one in /account/cards (including frozen / abnormal cards), then submit the closure request in /account/close (password + email verification code); after a 24-hour cooling-off period and manual review the balance is paid out in USDT. If there are unsettled transactions, payout waits for clearing to complete, usually 1-7 days, and in special cases (e.g. hotel pre-authorizations) up to 30 days. The platform fee is a flat $2 (the on-chain transfer fee is already included), and the minimum payable balance is $12 on TRC20 / $3 on ERC20 — below $3 the only option is to waive the balance.
