Account Deposit Agreement
Last updated: 2026-08-19 · Please read carefully before funding a deposit
1. What the deposit is
The deposit is a refundable security deposit you place with us voluntarily. It exists to cover money we actually advance on your behalf if one of your cards overdraws and you do not cover it in time.
A deposit is not:
- Not a fee or charge — we take nothing out of your deposit;
- Not account balance — it cannot be used to issue cards, top up cards, or make any purchase;
- Not an investment — it earns no interest and we do not invest it in any form;
- Not required to issue cards — standard card types are available without any deposit.
Deposits are by invitation only. We do not open deposit funding to all users.
2. Funding
Deposits are denominated in US dollars, with a minimum of 1,000 USD per payment. Your deposit is tracked separately from your account balance and is visible in your account at any time.
A deposit cannot be refunded within its first 90 days (minimum holding period). If you fund more than once, this period runs from your first payment — later top-ups do not restart the clock.
3. What a deposit gives you
- Risk score reduction: every 1,000 USD held reduces your risk score by 10 points. The reduction tracks your deposit balance — if the deposit is applied against a loss or refunded, the reduction shrinks accordingly.
- Access to premium card types: certain high-limit BINs require both an active deposit and a qualifying risk score. Exact requirements are shown on the card issuance page.
⚠️ A deposit does not exempt you from risk controls. Holding one does not mean your account stops being monitored, nor that a card request will be approved. We retain the right to freeze accounts under the Prohibited Conduct section of the Terms of Service, and holding a deposit does not limit that right.
4. Applying the deposit against a loss (core clause — please read in full)
All of the following must be true before we draw on your deposit:
- A card under your account settles for more than that card had available in its balance (an overdraft);
- That overdraft caused us to actually advance funds to the issuing partner;
- We have sent you written notice to cover it, via both in-app notification and your registered email;
- You have not covered the advanced amount within 7 calendar days of that notice.
Items 3 and 4 are your chance to put it right: if you cover it within the window, nothing is drawn from your deposit.
How much is applied
Amount applied = funds we actually advanced + direct fees charged to us for that advance , capped at your deposit balance
What we apply is limited to our actual loss. We do not take a cent more because you defaulted. If any deposit remains afterwards, it is still yours and can be refunded under section 5. If the deposit does not cover the advance, we reserve the right to recover the shortfall through other lawful means, but will not use that as grounds to seize assets beyond your account balance.
When we will not draw on your deposit
- Merchant chargebacks or refund disputes — that loss sits with the merchant, and we are not the injured party;
- Declined authorisations — a decline advances nothing;
- Charges caused by our own system errors — we absorb those and refund them in full;
- Any portion you have already covered from your balance or otherwise;
- A merely elevated risk score, or an account restricted from issuing cards or from making a top-up — a risk control is not a debt.
What you receive afterwards
- the card and transaction that triggered it;
- the advanced amount and a breakdown of fees;
- the amount applied and your remaining deposit balance;
- how and by when you can dispute it.
For every application we send you a written explanation within 24 hours, by in-app notification and email. You have the right to dispute it — open a ticket and we will review and reply in writing within 7 business days; if it was applied in error we return it in full and explain why.
5. Refunds
You may request a refund of your deposit balance once all of the following are true:
- the deposit is at least 90 days old (minimum holding period);
- every premium card under your account is closed;
- all transactions on those premium cards have fully settled — no authorisations in flight, no pending settlement, no outstanding notice to cover.
Why premium cards must be closed first: the deposit backs your access to premium card types. Card settlement lags authorisation; if we refunded the deposit while a usable premium card was still open, a settlement credited later could overdraw it with the deposit already gone, leaving both sides exposed. Standard cards are unaffected — you may keep them and still request your deposit back.
Submit a request from your account page or open a ticket. We complete verification and payout within 30 business days of the conditions above being met. The deposit is returned to your account balance, after which the general rules of the Terms of Service apply.
- We take no adverse action against your account for requesting a refund;
- No refund fee of any kind;
- Once refunded, the risk score reduction and premium card access end with it — that is the natural consequence of the benefit being tied to the deposit, not a penalty.
6. What happens on account closure
- You close your account: the deposit is settled under section 5 first, then closure proceeds;
- We terminate your account: any advance that already meets the conditions above is applied first, and the remaining deposit is refunded as normal — it is not forfeited because the account was terminated;
- However the account ends, any deposit not lawfully applied remains yours.
7. Other terms
- The deposit earns no interest; we pay you no return for holding it;
- We will announce any material change at least 7 days in advance by in-app notification and email; changes do not apply retroactively to how an existing deposit may be drawn on, and you may request a refund before they take effect;
- This agreement is governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region; disputes are resolved as set out in the Terms of Service (HKIAC arbitration, seated in Hong Kong).
8. In one sentence
The deposit is security you place with us. We draw on it only when one of your cards overdraws, we advance the money for you, we ask you to cover it, and you do not — and we take only what we actually advanced, not a cent more. In every other situation, including your account being restricted or terminated, the deposit remains yours. Close your premium cards, let them settle, and you can ask for it back.
